Mr. Mason

It has been a while since we have had a Mason update...

First, and foremost, Mason is such a sweetheart. He is a happy baby. He loves to flirt with the ladies. His smiles are contagious.
He is making a new sound 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaa' and when we do not respond, of course it gets loud.
Mason has officially found his feet and cannot get enough of them. He is constantly holding on to them and trying to eat them.
Mason loves going to the babysitter. Karie is such a God-send. He is the only little boy there. He is surrounded by lovely girls that give him lots of attention. Raylynn is a few weeks younger than him and they already have a bond :)
Mason loves anything with a motor. He has a board book that makes noises..and many trucks that go off thru the night when the cats find them.
Mason just began eating cereal. He isnt too fond of it yet.
He loves to sing himself  to sleep and be sung too.
He is a big football fan.

1 year ago..my world changed. My outlook changed. My body changed. My marriage changed. My family changed. I changed. I went from being a woman, a teacher, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend..to a mom. I will never forget getting to see our miracle on the sonogram for the first time. We were both speechless. Our doctor was speechless, too.
Since I was 16 and diagnosed with endometriosis, my doctors had indicated there was a slim chance this would ever happen. Oh the power of prayer :)

We were both shaking as Dr. Rosbrugh gave us a copy of the sonogram. Our miracle looked like just a little bean.He congratulated us as we walked out the door.I remember walking office somber with a look of shock in our eyes. As we went down the elevator and walked out the door, we knew our lives were forever changed.

As soon as we sat in my car, we took a moment just to breath and let it soak in. After a few moments, we began calling our family members. Boy, did that take a while. I will never forget the sound of joy that came from every person we talked to. There were many happy tears as well. After I made those phone calls, I remember thinking I should have thanked them for their prayers, but I made up for it afterwards.

Although there will be many more memories, that will be the day, that my life became fulfilled. I became a mommy. I now had a piece of heaven within my life to hold, love, and protect the rest of my life.

To all of you that took time to pray, thank you, thank you, thank you. Jonathan and I love Mason and cannot imagine our lives without him. To those of you that are facing the same battle, do not give up hope. Prayers are powerful, and by letting go and Letting God, he will provide
